Intermarché and Lidl in Mauzé are the nearest supermarkets to Grand Courdeault. 10 minutes away in Surgères there is a Leclerc. Both Leclerc and Intermarché offer a "click and collect" service and are the best places locally to fill up the petrol tank.

The nearest and easiest places to buy freshly baked daily bread are in Mauzé.

In Mauzé s/ Mignon the market is held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings on the church square. A bigger market selling more than just fresh food is held in the same place on the first Wednesday of every month.
In Surgères the market is held on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday under the covered market hall from 8h30 to 13h. A bigger market, like the one held in Mauzé, takes place the third Tuesday of every month from 8h to 13h., Thursday and Saturday
There are many restaurants in the area although we often recommend "La Ferme Gourmande" which is in St Pierre d'Amilly and just 5 minutes away in the car. la Ferme Gourmande à Saint Pierre d’Amilly à 5 minutes en voiture.

The restaurant is closed on Wednesday.
My grand children like l’Atelier but if you prefer pizza you can order from Les 4saisons PIZ'. Both restaurants are worth a visit and are nearby in Mauzé / le Mignon. Les 4 saisons PIZ’. Tous les deux restaurants sont très sympathiques et juste à côté à Mauzé / le Mignon.

Less than 15 minutes from Grand Courdeault in St Hilaire La Palud and Surgères there are two small cinemas. Click on the pictures - left- to see the films on show.
